Lake Kagurame is located in the outskirts of Beppu City is famous for its irises.

There are 80 types and approximately 15,000 roots. The light purple colored irises are extremely beautiful.

The viewing period is from June 6th (Sat) to July 5th (Sun). The “Lake Kagurame Iris Appreciation Event” will be held on June 20th (Sat). There will be music performances. Tea and Kagurame Dango will be served for free as well.
