Kifune Castle

A palace with great view where you can also meet the white snake that brings you happiness.

In 1957 (32nd year of the Showa era) the Kifune Castle was situated on the top of a hill, where you can enjoy one of the best views in Beppu. You can enjoy the entire panorama of the beppu-bay, Kannawa's yukemuri (onsen steam) and on a clear sunny day you can also see the mountains in Shikoku.
